Jorge's Half Marathon Journey:
Kumoco CSR Kicks Off

Committed to our mission and vision of a better world, Team Kumoco has initiated its fundraising challenges through sportsmanship and objective accomplishment.

Jorge Enriquez-Murillo (Kumoco's Senior PMO) is passionate on strategy and project management. He enjoys complex goals, and as an avid long-distance runner from Bolivia, Jorge's put the Team Kumoco t-shirt on for a CSR fundraise.

Jorge's challenge was to train to complete Liverpool's Rock & Roll Half Marathon. Having discussed this initiative with Paul O'shea (Kumoco's CEO), Kumoco agreed to donate funds towards an external organisation's project aligned to our CSR mission.

The objective: To finish the 21KM course under 1 hour and 40 minutes

With this motivating goal in mind, Jorge followed a rigorous training plan in parallel to his ongoing tasks and responsibilities. Waking up at 6:00 am and complete a 15KM run before the daily stand-up is not alien to Jorge.

On a chilly Sunday morning, Jorge put the Kumoco t-shirt on ready for race day. Motivated by English-Latino hard rock music, and the CSR fundraising objective, Jorge completed the race in 1 hour, 35 minutes and 41 seconds.

Whilst Jorge's race is over, Kumoco's CSR initiative has just kicked-off. Now, Jorge is not only looking for a project to fundraise but training for a new half marathon and a CSR objective.

Jorge was the 277th runner to cross the finish line out of 4.500 runners. 43rd in his category, Jorge is aiming to raise more funds by improving his Personal Best for the Planet's Betterment
